    July 7, 2021 /

The Start of the South of Seoul Public Health Program Since 2015, South of Seoul volunteers have supported the English-speaking international community living in South Korea. When COVID-19 swept across the country, the lack of access to critical information related to healthcare for the international community became evident. After observing such struggles within the international community, South of Seoul volunteers began developing the new South of Seoul Public Health Program. Such an initiative aimed at increasing knowledge about primary health care among the English-speaking international population in South Korea. Listen…

    July 9, 2019 /

Looking for an English-speaking dentist in or near Pyeongtaek? We have a few options to try About Visiting the Dentist in Korea There is rarely a point where going to the dentist is fun, however, it can be downright terrifying in a country where you can’t speak the language. Neighborhood Intro: Shinjang-dong (Part of Songtan)

    August 31, 2018 /

Pyeongtaek-si (평택시) is made up of many different, unique little neighborhoods. Over the last 2 years Pyeongtaek neighborhoods have been reorganized, a new address system created, and – often – completely new names assigned. Combine this with the constantly changing English Speaking population that rotates through each year, and life becomes like a big game of Telephone as half information turns into mythical information. That’s where South of Seoul comes in. We are on the ground and updating the South of Seoul app each time we are alerted to a…

Songtan & Seojeongri Recommendation: Y Dental

    June 1, 2018 /

Business: Y Dental Neighborhood: Songtan In the South of Seoul App search: Y Dental Sometimes we randomly get contacted by a business that finds us online. We don’t always go check them out because we have jobs and lives to live, however, if the business seems to might offer something that our local community needs we go check them out. Since those of us that run and volunteer at South of Seoul do it for the community, karma, to battle boredom, and to keep our job skills relevant it takes…

Southern BBQ at the Songtan Pink Carts

    April 12, 2016 /

As an Alaskan I’m a sucker for folks who step out of their comfort zone and take a risk on a dream, especially when they are doing it off the beaten track.
