The Joy of Restaurants with Play Areas
If you’re anything like me, then dinner is a constant juggle between child care and self-care. One of the things I appreciate about Korea is that dinner time and playtime don’t have to be mutually exclusive. In Pyeongtaek and the surrounding areas, we have a surprising number of restaurants with play areas.
What to Expect from Restaurant Play Areas:
Many family-friendly restaurants in Korea offer indoor play areas to help keep children entertained while parents enjoy their meal. These play zones can range from small soft play sections with slides and ball pits to more elaborate setups with climbing structures, trampolines, or role-play spaces. Most are designed for toddlers through early elementary-aged children. Shoes are typically removed before entering, and some restaurants may require socks. While some play areas are visible from dining tables, others may be in separate rooms, so parental supervision is still recommended. Cleanliness and safety vary by location, so it’s a good idea to check reviews or photos before visiting.
Near Camp Humphresy and Osan Air Force Base
Families living near Camp Humphreys and Osan Air Force base enjoy visiting these different restaurants. You will dine together in the main area and when kids get restless they can go to the play area to release their energy. Some of the play areas are quite expansive while others are quite small. No matter the size, they offer an excellent way for parents to enjoy eating while their kids enjoy playing.
