Large multi-gaming and event facility. Excellent for large groups and good for a wide range of ages. They have passes that allow you to play unlimited games within a time-period. Highly recommend this option for maximum fun. You can also win snacks and drinks playing some games. Very popular with the international residents of Pyeongtaek. This is a carpentry cafe. You can learn and make various wood crafts here. Simple products include wall clocks, speakers, lighting, chopsticks, and wooden portraits. If you want to study more detail, you can enroll in a carpenters license class.

A long bike path and walking path that follows the river through Godeokbuk.

This is a unique cafe thats like a reading room plus cafe. Inside you can pay 8,000 won for 2 hours of just resting and reading (which includes a drink) or you can just get a drink and hang out in the garden. Aracabooks Cafe is right off the bike path and near a small park. The cafe is often filled with families with young kids relaxing in the countryside. Its for all the bookworm moms and kids. The books are in Korean. You can also bring your own books or projects.

A Neo-Confucian scholar at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and in the early Joseon Dynasty, Jeong Do-jeon (pen name: Sambong) led the establishment of the national foundation of Joseon Dynasty. Sambong Woodblocks (Gyeonggi-do Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 132), kept at Sambong Memorial, presents all the philosophies of Jeong Do-jeon, evidenced by his Six Codes of Governance, Simgiri, and Bulssi japbyeon. The woodblocks are delicately engraved and offer a precious material for research on the history of printing.

Sapgyoho Land Theme Park is a family-friendly amusement park overlooking Sapgyo Lake in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do. This amusement park has a little bit for everyone: a zoo, safari, roller coasters, little kid rides, street food, restaurants and cafes. You can get discounted tickets often times on Klook and Trazy or the Everland website.

Railbikes are fun rides that happen around Korea. Guest pedal bikes that ride on a closed line of railroad tracks. Usually 2-4 people pedal together through a scenic area. This particular are is very kid friendly, but also great for a date.

Cultural Notes for Outdoor Swimming Pools:
Thank you for understanding this is a Korean outdoor pool. They do not cater to foreigners. You will be expected to follow Korean customs when visiting. To enjoy the experience leave behind your expectations of home and be open to experiencing something new. Here are some basic rules to help you be successful:
- Wearing bikinis or revealing clothing is not appropriate. Swimming shorts and t-shirts and full coverage suites are best. These can be found at Lotte Mart, E Mart or Home Plus.
- Baseball caps or swimming caps are REQUIRED for ALL people in the pool. This helps keep the pool clean. You will not be allowed to play in the pool without them.
- Consider your noise level. Try to avoid taking over the space. Be considerate of others around you.

You can rent swan paddle boats and ride around on Pyeongtaek Lake. Its silly and fun. Perfect for a date. Also fun for kids.

Don't wait to find a class. You can get started on learning Korean right now if you get a tutor. They teach both group and individual classes and have certificates in Teaching Korean to Foreigner Language Speakers. Private lessons are 30,000 won an hour with discounts for groups.

Today I visited an indoor zoo with my husband and I want to share this place with you guys!

The zoo’s name is 캐니언파크 평택 and the address is Gyeonggido Pyeongtaeksi Bijeon 5ro 10 3F (It is located on the 3rd floor of the building / I think Its a little hard to get here without a car but parking is free for three hours.)

At the middle of the zoo is an arcade and boat area that requires additional pay. But at the end there is a playzone for kids and no addditional charge. I didn’t show all of the photos of all of the animals I saw, but there are many more. If you pay $2 when you’re inside, you can get veggies to feed the animals but this is card only.

As long as you keep your wristband, you can freely go in and out of the zoo for 6 hours using the QR code • Children under 36 months old are free entry into the zoo.

Located right outside the Osan Air Force Base walk-in Gate, this pocket sized bakery cafe offers some best small-batch desserts around. in fact, they sell out all most every single day. They sell things like cookies, banana pudding, lemon bars, and more. Plus, their coffee is some of the best in Sinjang-dong. They have been a Pyeongtaek-si favorite place for many, many years.

This type of spa experience is super rare, and we are so lucky to have one right here in Pyeongtaek! Basically you get burried in fermented rice powder or rice enzyme. It is warm and wonderful and feels like a heated weighted blanket. After 15 minutes in the rice enzyme cocoon, you can rest in the warmth for up to an hour. This type of spa treatment is said to have healing effects while strengthening immunities. There are also massage chairs if you want even more relaxation after your shower.

Joeunsul is a boutique brewery, specializing in makgeolli. They make their makgeolli using yeast and locally grown rice. No fillers, no wheat, no artificial sweeteners. They have a nice selection, ranging in alcohol content. From the 10% makgeolli, a crowd favorite, to the 40% soju. The bottles are beautiful and make great gifts.
They offer free tastings and a wholesale discount for direct purchases.

Cant have cats at home? This cafe has you covered. Pay to enter, but drinks and biscuits come with the entry fee. This small cat cafe near AK Plaza in Pyeongtaek will help you fill-up on cat snuggles.

Cherry picking at an orchard, about 30 minutes from Osan Air Base but still in Pyeongtaek. Information in picture with green sign. Free parking. Also has picnic area and restrooms on the grounds. Cherry picking ends at end of June. You cannot take backpacks nor purses to the orchard. You leave them in the car or in the bins provided at entrance. You get a plastic cup with dome lid to put your cherries. Pay in cash. You get 30 minutes to fill your cup. You can eat while you pick.

Cherry picking — just 5mins from the Humphreys main gate. 20,000 won (15,000 kids) for the whole experience, all you can eat cherries and you get to bring home a 500ml cupful of cherries!

A traditional Korean market open seven days a week. If you want to save a lot of money, dont shop at the big stores like Emart. Shop at the local markets.

Animal lovers will love the chance to get up-close-and-personal with some feathered friends. This is located on the third floor and usually opens later - like around 11.

When they say free, they mean get comfortable. They charge an entrance fee fpr each person.

There are 5 escape rooms to choose from and prices vary based on: cash v card, number of people, number of rooms completed, etc. Reservation is recommended by phone, or via their website. Location is adjacent to the Pyeongtaek train station and AK Plaza.

The rooms are fear-themed and may not be appropriate for all children. Also the puzzles are complex so you must judge for yourself the appropriate age range. Five or less people recommended per session. You are given 1 hour to complete the puzzles and escape.

Tiny little used clothes store where they have crammed in as much as possible. It will take some time to sort through so dont come in a hurry.

The former Tower Duck Restaurant is now A Twosome Place coffee shop. Take the elevator to the third floor and enjoy the delicious beverages and desserts this cafe is known for. The large windows offer a nice view of the river. There is plenty of seating for groups of all sizes.
