Looking for the best Mallipo Beach day itinerary for your family or friend trip? Here is what we like to do when we go every year.
About Our Mallipo Trips
We have been visiting Mallipo Beach for over a decade. The beach is like our second summer home. We usually only go a few times a month to see friends and hangout with friends. At this point, we know exactly what our days will look like and enjoy the simplicity of not having to find anything new.
Stop for Breakfast in Seosan City
Since we hate driving, we like to plan a stop in Seosan for breakfast and morning coffee. Since we also love Vietnamese food and coffee, we stop off at Thanh Thanh to fillup on fresh herbs and greens before a big day in the water. They also serve perfect Vietnamese coffees that provide the powerup we are looking for on an early weekend morning.

More fresh herbs from their garden than you can imagine alongside wonderful Vietnamese food. They have perfect Vietnamese coffee. Located on the second and third floor.
Find Our Perfect Tent Spot
We like to arrive early and find free spots since we have our own beach tents and umbrellas. Since the beaches are quite busy, you may find that others put their tents closer to your space than you may feel comfortable with if you are from certain parts of the world. This comfort with proximity and space is a cultural difference that you may have to adjust to in Korea.

Has bathrooms and near camping. Easy beach access. Close to surf shops. However, not always open to the public. Near the skatepark.
Grab a Lazy Lunch
After we get settled into your beach spot and take a quick swim then go grab some lunch. We want to be loaded up on calories for a day in the water. Since we have a small car and many people, we don’t usually pack meals for our trips to Mallipo. We simply at at spots at the beach.
We have been going to MLP Surf for burgers for longer than we can remember. The burgers and fries are the perfect calorie bomb for a day of goofing off in the sea. At this point, we have been friends with the owner for so long that we also don’t want to miss catching up on life when we visit.

Founded by a guy from Pyeongtaek, MLP Surf is a destination for the cool kids. You can rent surf boards, eat a burger, shop, grab a drink, or eat an ice cream.
More Play Time
You can rent many different items for playing in the sea at Mallipo Beach, we usually rent things that float. You can rent tubes, surfboards, paddle boards, and more. There are even ATV rentals for those that DON’T like to play in the water. It doesn’t matter if you are obsessed with sea or land.
We usually try on all of tubes before we rent them since each spot seems to sell slightly different sizes and shapes. If at first you don’t succeed, try a few more places before picking your tube or floating device.
Grab Dinner
Nothing like finishing off the day with delicious grilled meat and Chinese side-dishes. The views and the food at Daehan Lamb Skewers provide the perfect end to a busy day in the water. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so it is perfect for all weather.

This restaurant isn’t full Chinese but also isn’t Korean Chinese, and it is very delicious. They serve grilled lamb skewers and steaks. Plus that have a wide assortment of seafood and side dishes.
Grab Coffee and Dessert
After dinner we want to relax and sip on some beverages before driving home. The coffee and desserts is lovely at Pino, but the dessert selection will be limited at the end of the day. Keep that in mind of you have your hear set on dessert.

A beach view cafe serving Cafe Libre beans, baked goods, beers, etc.
5:30 PM Head Home
You want to head home from the beach between 5:30 or 6:00 to avoid the worst of the traffic on the return path. We don’t recommend taking any express ways back to Pyeongtaek as they usually get very slow around Pyeongtaek Lake.
The Ultimate Mallipo Blog List
This is what we do, but we think your days will look different. Here is a Mallipo Beach blog for planning your ultimate Mallipo Beach day for yourself.
