What to Expect From Pasta Restaurants in Korea

Many countries put their own spin on international cuisines, so remember that your expectations of a dish could vary due to a Korean spin or fusion of flavors. Therefore, it is always best to try and keep an open mind when trying new places.

Garlic bread in Korea tends to be more sweet and may even have sugar on it. It took a bit to wrap my brain around the concept. However, when we first tried this we discovered that the idea of it was more off-putting than the taste. It is rather good, but definitely different from what we have experienced in the US. In addition, some red sauces might have gochugaru (spicy red pepper powder) added which provides an extra kick. So, if your pasta sauce or even pizza sauce has an extra kick, it might just be the Korean red pepper.
