Pohang is a city and administrative district located in North Gyeongsang, on the South East coast of Korea. Pohang is divided into two smaller districts, or -gu, Bak-gu and Nam-gu. The two districts are important to know when planning your trip since locations between the two districts can be separated by an hour’s worth of driving time.

If you’re traveling on a budget with a large family or group of friends and you don’t need something posh, Blue Coral Pension offers lots of space, 2 double beds, 2 bathrooms with tubs, 2 kitchenettes, balcony space, oceanview, parking, and wifi. Rooms start at W69,000, but the double rooms start at W139,000. The exterior is modest but the interior is clean and spacious. Call the information desk when you arrive, the phone number is listed on a huge sign outside.

If you’re looking for more of a hotel experience with an ocean-side view, try Lahan Hotel Pohang. Breakfast included. More centrally located to the activities in this blog. It’s also surrounded by restaurants and cafes and across the street from Yeongildae Beach. Rooms start at W102,000.

Hidden Sea & Tiffany Pension – As stated earlier, this location is actually in Gyeongju but it’s just a couple of minutes from Pohang. Beautiful view with leisure activities, swimming pool, cafe, bakery, and convenience store on location. Rooms starting at W70,000.
