Никто из волонтеров не хочет указывать людям что самое лучшее, они хотят ЗНАТЬ что самое лучшее, ведь каждый раз эта информация будет меняться. Как вы думаете почему у нас много Фейсбук групп вместо просто постов? Конечно мы могли создать лист “Самые лучшие в Пентеке”, но это было бы скучно для всех нас. Поэтому мы предоставляем возможность международному сообществу выбирать это самим каждый год.

Every year the results surprise us.
Sometimes the results go against everything we think is good and right in the world. We still publish them and respect them. We just want to love the businesses in our community. However, we do look forward to the many comments about how “It’s all rigged” when folks’ favorites don’t win. Such comments always make us feel like we have a future online because controversy actually helps communities pull together and support each other more.
Каждый год результаты нас удивляют. Иногда результаты выгодят совсем не так как мы ожидали. Мы всеровно уважаем их и выпускаем. Мы просто хотим любить и поддерживать бизнесы. Но не смотря на это мы ждем ожидаем некоторые комментарии говорящие что этот опрос лживый. Это помогает нам осознавать что нужно больше развивать онлайн индустрию потому что это будет давать шанс сообществам держаться вместе и больше поддерживать друг друга.

The Best of Pyeongtaek actually uses a voting model developed and used by a variety of papers around the country.
Is it scientific? Nope. Is it perfect? Nope. Is it the best polling system, based on historical models, for our resources for promoting local businesses? YES! Allowing people to vote once a day over a 1-2 week period actually creates a more level playing field.
That said, feel free to get angry about it. Emotions and life are hard right now and we would rather you take your rage out on the South of Seoul polling rather than your family or yourself. If you feel angry about this, let it out. It’s ok. It’s a perfect place to let off anger at the systems that systemically repress us. (Which South of Seoul might be one, but we hope not.)

No, we do not AND your community can still vote for you by writing your name in.
We simply 1) have a limited amount of time and resources and 2) are human. We did our best to take the larger community into consideration but made a mistake we couldn’t predict. Please let us know you want to be on the next poll and we will add you to the list.
Additionally, businesses can only be entered into a maximum of 3 categories. The categories are selected by the South of Seoul volunteer team.
