International BBQ in Pyeongtaek
Discover the many grill and BBQ meat options in Pyeongtaek near Humphreys or Osan. The next time you need some tasty meats, grab your friends and head to Pyeongtaek.
These days, restauranteurs increasingly look past Seoul and out into the growing international communities across Korea. Many look to Pyeongtaek due to the presence of two US military bases (Osan Air Force Base and Camp Humphreys), the growing, diverse international population, and huge Samsung factories.
Pyeongtaek is quickly becoming the best-kept secret in International food in South Korea. Every month new restaurants open adding to the diversity and depth of offerings. This includes a variety of delicious BBQ meat restaurants. Some of the restaurants focus on grilling while others focused on smoked meats.
US-Style BBQ
If you are interested in US-style BBQ, we highly recommend JP’s BBQ which won Best of Pyeongtaek for International BBQ in 2020. JP keeps things simple and focuses on turning out fantastic smoked meats. If you love big BBQ platters give Smoke Town or UJ Smokehouse Sosabeol a try. Both Smoke Town and UJ Smokehouse serve up delicious meats and sides. Additionally, La Salud and Texas BBQ 58 also offer solid western-style BBQ loved by many in the Pyeongtaek.
South African BBQ
Braai Republic Pyeongtaek is an absolute institution. Their South African BBQ keeps us all coming back for more. The ribs melt off the bone and the chicken is soft and filled with flavor. South African BBQ leans toward thick meat cuts, rich flavors, and flavor-packed sauces. The side dishes are rich and filling. You will not go away hungry. Braai also has a location in Seoul.
Brazilian BBQ Restaurants
If all-you-can-eat (AYCE) is a priority, make sure to give one of Pyeongtaek’s Brazillian steakhouses a try. Rio Grill (located in Sinjangdong, Pyeongtaek near Osan Air Force Base) and Casa Brasil Grill (Located in Paengseong, Pyeongtaek near Camp Humphreys Army Base) have been serving delicious AYCE grilled meats for over a decade. Both restaurants have a refill bar for sides and salads.
