Looking for places to stay in Daejeon? You’ve found the right spot! About Daejeon Known as the Silicon Valley of Korea, Daejeon is the home of private and public research institutes, centers and science parks. The R&D centers of Samsung, Institute of Information Technology Advancement, LG, Korea University of Science and Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute and others are in Daedeok Science Town in Yuseong-gu. Daejeon features a technology cluster known as Daedeok Innopolis defined by the national Universities Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Chungnam National University and surrounded by government research institutes, government-invested corporate research institutes, corporate research centers, and venture companies. Because of this, you’ll find many modern hotels in Daejeon with amenities that American visitors may find comforting, such as larger beds, larger bath towels, larger bathtubs, Western-style breakfasts, etc. Criteria for this Daejeon Hotels List The following locations have parking, both single and double western-style bed options, and restaurants and cafes, either in the hotel or in close walking distance. Most also offer breakfast. Most locations have a city view but if you are looking for a river view, there are a couple of rivers that run through Daejeon. I hope you can find a place to stay on this list. 5 Places to Stay in Daejeon Lotte City Hotel – Includes both city and river view room options. English-speaking reservation agents.  Deluxe and family rooms. Free parking. Basic hotel-type amenities (mini refrigerator, tub, large towels, exercise room, etc). No microwave. They are both conveniently located to places to visit on this blog, within walking distance. GS grocery across the street. Doryong Hauseudi Urban has restaurants, cafes, wine stores, and a Naughty Child kids cafe, two blocks away. There are two brunch locations across the street as well, both open at 0800, Italian Deli and Sungsimdang, located on the 2nd floor of the Convention Center. Yuseong Hotel is for those who really want to treat themselves. Same amenities as the other hotels but this one includes pools and spas. Should I Be Inside or Outside Today? You will enjoy Daejeon the most if you go either on a day with good air quality or in your preferred weather. However, you can also enjoy the parks if you go prepared for incidental weather and the current air conditions. Here is what is happening currently in Pyeongtaek so that you can determine what is right for you right now. Current Air Quality Air quality and weather change throughout the day. However, having an idea of what the air quality is right now can help make decisions easier.
