Sports bars, pubs, and grills have a unique place in the hearts of those that live abroad. They are a place to find a literal taste of home, maybe watch a football game, and make friends that become more like family. In Pyeongtaek we are lucky to be blessed with numerous such establishments and these five truly stand out from the crowd. We recommend visiting them all and finding the one that feels like family.
Address and phone numbers for all listings can be found in the South of Seoul app.
Loft33
Hidden away on the second floor above Regina’s, Loft33 is easy to miss if you aren’t looking. Don’t let this happen. They won Best Bar & Grill of Pyeongteak 2018 for a reason. Loft33 offers great food, a fun and welcoming atmosphere, and a place to make friends for life.
Bear Paw
If it’s hearty northern food, a warm atmosphere, pub trivia, and plenty of sports you are looking for, then head over to Bear Paw. They are located on the second floor so don’t miss them by not looking up. It would be a shame.
Tailgate Tavern
If you are looking for a sports bar with lots of space to move, a tasty menu, huge TV screens, and plenty of parking then look no further. We recommend trying their burgers and wings. Tailgate is located just outside of Anjeongri, not far from the river.
Wolfhound Irish Pub
Voted best Best Irish Bar of Pyeongtaek, there actually is more than one, this authentic Irish Pub is the younger sibling of Wolfhound Seoul and Wolfhound Busan. They have delicious food, great drinks, a huge space, and tons of friendly staff that make you feel welcome.
Pub 210
Pub 210 is located in Pyeongtaek and in Bundang. They have a huge space, giant TVs, great food, and are family owned. The Pyeongtaek location has a place for families on the first floor and a more eventful, adult space upstairs. They also have great specials during the week.
